Deirdre A. Benam, Board Secretary, holds a bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from Loyola University in New Orleans, Louisiana and has been in practice for 45 years. Good nutrition has always been important in her discussions with patients concerning not only their dental health but also their overall health. She believes that a healthy mouth reflects a healthy body and is the gateway to good health.
